The Order of the Dark by author Sunita Joshi is a fictional science story that portrays our own universe, how it came into existence billions of years ago, and how the various spatial entities, including us, the earthlings, came into being from nowhere. The book consists of 7 different stories.

It starts with how the protagonist decided to let go the things and go with the new beginnings in the big bang way. It all started from the past and ended up in the imaginary future. Every chapter was connected with the celestial bodies of the cosmic realm.

I haven’t read many sci-fi books, but this was too different from others. It was a short read and I was literally hooked till the end. Each chapter contained colorful graphics.

The pace was well maintained. The characters were well characterized. The writing style and language were understandable. The cover is pretty and matches the content. The title is apt. Overall, it was a good sci-fi read and I would recommend this book to readers who like short stories.
